Data – Poverty

The following charts show estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS)  from 2015 to 2019.   The poverty rate for Vermont Blacks is nearly three times higher than for non-Hispanic whites and 7 points higher than for Blacks in the US overall.

In many cases, there is a high level of uncertainty to the detailed estimates by county and city that follow.  We strongly encourage the State of Vermont to produce a more accurate and publicly available set of this data.
